The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) is recruiting for the position of Junior Resident under the Health Department with a total of 1445 vacancies. Candidates must hold an MBBS degree and a Medical Registration Certificate. The application period is from January 16, 2026, to February 6, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- MBBS degree from a recognized Medical College/University
- Candidates must have passed MBBS Part-I, Part-II, and Part-III examinations
- Medical Registration Certificate is mandatory
- Candidates who have completed FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) conducted by NBE are also eligible
- Candidates with PG Degree/Diploma, Ph.D., DM, or DCH qualifications are eligible to apply
- Valid Medical Registration Certificate is compulsory
- Candidates must possess MBBS passing certificate
- All MBBS marksheets including failure marksheets (if any) must be available
- MBBS Attempt Certificate is required
- Candidates currently in service must provide No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer
- Experience in relevant medical field (if any)
- PG Degree/Diploma in Medical Sciences
- FMGE qualification for foreign medical graduates
- Ph.D./DM/DCH qualifications

Selection Process
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared according to MBBS marks obtained. Merit calculation will consider marks from MBBS Part-I, Part-II, and Part-III examinations. Minimum qualifying marks: 35% for Unreserved category. 80% weightage for total marks obtained and 20%/10% for other criteria (as per government norms).
