The High Court of Bombay is hiring for the position of District Judge (by Nomination - 25%) with 89 vacancies. Candidates must possess a Degree in Law and have at least 7 years of relevant experience. The age requirement is 35 to 45 years, with a maximum of 48 years for PwD and Backward Communities.

Educational Qualification
Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university. Knowledge of Marathi: Sufficient knowledge of Marathi to enable the candidate to speak, read, write and translate with facility from Marathi into English and vice-versa (mandatory).
Experience Required
Practicing as an Advocate in High Court of Bombay or Courts subordinate thereto OR serving as a Judicial Officer in Maharashtra Judicial Service for not less than 7 years. Option 2: Working or must have worked as Public Prosecutor or Government Advocate for not less than 7 years (period as practicing Advocate shall be included). Selection Process
Stage 1
Preliminary Written Examination (if conducted) with multiple choice objective type questions (computer-based evaluation) for short-listing candidates for Main Written Examination. Candidates will be called in ratio of 1:10 of advertised vacancies.
Stage 2
Main Written Examination with 2 papers, each 100 marks. Minimum Qualifying Marks: General Category: 50% in each paper; Backward Communities/PwD: 45% in each paper.
Stage 3
Viva-voce (Personal Interview) with marks allocation of 50.
