- Diploma in Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician course
- Post-graduate diploma in medical laboratory technology or one year Medical Laboratory Technician training course
- Basic knowledge of computer application
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
