The Manipur Staff Selection Commission (MSSC) is recruiting for 80 Special Primary Teacher positions in the Education Department of the Government of Manipur. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with specified percentages and possess D.Ed./D.El.Ed. qualifications. The application period runs from July 31, 2026, to August 20, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate must be able to speak Manipuri or any of the Tribal dialects of Manipur.
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Manipur. A candidate whose parent, or any ancestor in their direct lineage, is a permanent resident of the State is also eligible, provided proper documentary proof is furnished.
Educational Qualification
- 10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University/Board; or
- 10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks from a recognized University/Institution/Board, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
- D.Ed. in Special Education from an RCI-approved institute, with a valid RCI CRR number; or
- D.El.Ed. with a recognized qualification (Certificate/Diploma) through an RCI-approved institution for in-service/pre-service general teachers, equivalent to D.Ed. in Special Education, with a valid RCI CRR number.
- 6 months of training in teaching in the cross-disability area of inclusive education. If the proposed programme is not available, this requirement may be dropped, provided the candidate compulsorily undergoes this training as soon as it is conducted.
- Passed the Teacher Eligibility Test-1 (TET-1) conducted by the State Government or any other agency approved by NCTE.

Selection Process
Selection is based on performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT). If the exam is held in more than one shift, marks will be normalized using the normalization formula adopted by MSSC. In case of candidates having the same score after normalization, ties are resolved using specific criteria.

Applications must be submitted online through the link on the Commission's website. Candidates must register using parameters matching their Employment Exchange sponsorship credentials.
Documents Required
- Original documents proving educational qualification, experience, age, community/category, and disability (where applicable).
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned Department/Authority for all candidates already in service.
- Category certificate from the competent authority, to be furnished at the time of document verification.
