Candidates applying for Nalanda University Recruitment 2026 must fulfil the prescribed educational qualification and experience requirements for the respective Non-Teaching post. The qualifications prescribed for these posts must be obtained from a recognised University or Institution of repute.

| Librarian | Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. Minimum 10 years of experience at the level of Assistant Librarian / Deputy Librarian / Additional Librarian in a University, College, Indian or Foreign Research Institution of comparable standards, including at least 3 years at the level of Deputy Librarian / Additional Librarian. Evidence of innovative library services including integration of ICT in library. Ph.D. Degree in Library Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript Keeping. |
| Deputy Librarian | Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. Eight years of experience as Assistant University Librarian / College Librarian. Evidence of innovative library services including ICT integration in library. Ph.D. Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science / Archives and Manuscript Keeping / Computerization of Library. |
| Assistant Registrar | Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent along with a good academic record. Minimum 5 years professional experience in a university, educational or research institution; or equivalent technical/research experience with proven administrative capabilities. Experience in administration, admission, examination, establishment, procurement, performance management system, training and development, welfare, legal, campus/estate or materials management/stores. |
| Assistant Engineer (Electrical) | Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University/Institution. At least 2 years post qualification experience in a government body or commercial establishment of repute as Junior Engineer or similar capacity. |
| Senior Assistant | Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University/Institution. At least 5 years experience in related fields of Administration, Establishment, Academic, Finance & Accounts and General Supervision/Management. Proficiency in Computer Operation, noting and drafting. |
| Library Assistant | Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science from a recognised University/Institution with 2 years experience in the relevant field in University/Research Establishment/Central or State Government/PSU/Autonomous Institutions. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Library / Library and Information Science with 3 years experience in the relevant field. Knowledge of Computer Applications is required. |
| Assistant | Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University/Institution. At least 3 years experience in related fields of Administration, Establishment, Academic, Finance & Accounts and General Supervision/Management. Proficiency in Computer Operation, noting and drafting. |
