National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut is seeking to hire 1 Legal Officer on a contractual basis. Candidates must hold an LLB or LLM degree and have relevant legal experience, particularly in academic contexts. The monthly salary ranges from Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 60,000.

Qualification Required
LLB (Bachelor's in Law) or LLM (Master's in Law) from reputed university recognized by Bar Council of India. Minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 (on a 10-point scale) in the qualifying examination. Must be registered as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India under the Advocates Act, 1961.

Experience Required
Minimum 3 years of experience after completing Bachelor's Degree in Law, OR Minimum 2 years of experience after completing Master's Degree in Law. The experience must include: Handling civil and criminal litigation, Arbitration matters, Right to Information (RTI) applications and service-related matters, Drafting and interpreting legal documents, Appearing before courts and tribunals.
