NIT Rourkela is seeking to fill 01 position for Junior Research Fellow under a project focused on CO2 variation in Chilika Lake. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences and are encouraged to apply by 21 July 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
itemsEssential Qualification: B.E/B.Tech or M.Tech in Civil Engineering, M.Sc/M.Sc Tech/M.Tech in Geology, Applied Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Sciences, Remote Sensing or similar discipline with minimum 65% marks or CGPA 7.0 + GATE/NET/GPAT or any other national level exam qualification,Desirable Skills: Good knowledge on River management and Remote Sensing. GATE qualified candidates will be given priority,Job Responsibilities: Sample collection, fieldwork, laboratory work and report writing
Age Limit
Upper age limit is 28 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates and 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer).
Selection Process
Selection will be based on shortlisting of applications followed by Online Interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed. Final selection is subject to verification of documents and performance in the interview.
