| Trade (ITI) Apprentice | Pass in ITI in the relevant trade from a recognized institute under the Craftsman Training Scheme |
| Engineering Graduate Apprentice | Regular full-time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognized university/institution |
| Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentice | Regular full-time Bachelor's Degree in the relevant discipline from a UGC-approved university |
| Technician (Diploma) Apprentice | Regular full-time Diploma in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognized board, university or equivalent institution |
